Pietta s’est retrouvé devant les tribunaux pour financement occulte de campagne, quelques mois avant que la fameuse loi l’amnistie.

Sa mandature à la commune est une parenthèse professionnelle, un moyen de se faire oublier pour mieux pour revenir en politique, toujours flanqué de son fidèle lieutenant AV.
